Brandon Belongs on Builders List

The company was either too small to be on it before, or we just plain forgot to call and check, but Gary Brandon Enterprises LLC of Fayetteville belonged on our annual list of Largest Commercial Contractors, which is attached to this issue’s lead story.

Though it’s no excuse, Brandon might have been easy to overlook since most of his projects are out-of-area hotels. He’s working on one in Reno, Nev., and a Hilton Homewood Suites in Palm Desert, Calif.

He was following up on some projects in Florida where we were able to track him down during the week of Jan. 23.

Brandon said he did about $31 million in 2008 revenue. If his figures had been included in the list, it would have brought the total revenue to $1.35 billion for the 20 commercial contractors, instead of $1.31 billion for 19.

Brandon would have tied at No. 3 with Kinco Constructors LLC of Springdale.
