BKD Acquires Part Of Rogers Practice

BKD LLP, the largest accounting firm in Arkansas, has acquired an office in Rogers with the addition of several members from the Lundy Allard & Co. PLLC firm.
Mark Lundy, a CPA and partner of the Lundy Allard firm, along with three CPAs and 10 staff have joined BKD, according to Steven Warren, BKD’s regional managing partner.
Former partner, Bart Allard, has formed the Allard & Co. PA of Rogers. Allard will continue his practice of personal, business and trust tax prep and planning, and will still be associated with Allard Financial Advisors LLC, which provides independent financial and insurance services.
BKD, a national firm with headquarters in Springfield, Mo., is one of the 10 largest CPA and advisory firms in the United States.
Lundy and his team bring approximately $1.2 million in revenue, as well as focused expertise in tax and audit, particularly with clients in manufacturing, distribution, not-for-profit and government, the company news release said.
The transaction allows BKD, which also has Arkansas offices in Fort Smith, Little Rock and Pine Bluff, to meet the expanding service requirements of Northwest Arkansas, the release said.
Arkansas Business showed BKD had 63 CPAs in September and Lundy Allard was the No. 2 ranked firm as ranked by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.
“We first met with BKD in 2005 about partnering for referrals,” said Lundy. “As time went on, we began to talk about additional possibilities because we had some that required more resources. Given the growth in the area, this is a great fit, especially for our existing and potential clients.”
