The Coleman Company Building New Bentonville Office

AK Enterprise of NWA recently purchased a building permit valued at $2.9 million to construct an office building at 3101 SE Macy Rd. off of S. Walton Boulevard in Bentonville.

The 21,126 SF building will serve as an office for The Coleman Company Inc. and Pure Fishing Inc., business units of the Jarden Outdoor Solutions segment of the Jarden Corp. The businesses are moving their vendor offices from the Beau Terre Office Park in Bentonville to the new location.

According to Joan Carter, manger of organizational communication for The Coleman Co., the new location will help the businesses better serve Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club following the recent integration of Stearns and Shakespear into Coleman and Pure Fishing, respectively.

Subcontractors include Advanced Mechanical of Lowell, Master Electric of Bentonville and Midland Plumbing of Rogers.

New Hangar Built At Roger’s Airport

Crossland Construction recently purchased a building permit valued at $2.5 million to build a hanger at the Rogers Municipal Airport.

Crossland Construction is the general contractor for the 28,000-SF hangar at 2 Cass Hough Dr.

The hanger will be capable of accommodating multiple business jets. The facility will also house offices and conference rooms.

Crossland will own the building and Beaver Lake Aviation will operate it.

Baldor Remodels Fort Smith Plant

Wear Construction Management recently purchased a building permit valued at $2.5 million to remodel warehouse space at Baldor Electric Company’s headquarters and plant in Fort Smith.

The warehouses are being remodeled to accommodate the company’s recently expanded employment. Baldor, which markets, designs and manufacturers electric motors, power transmission products, drives and generators, will add 30 jobs in its distribution operations.

The warehouses are being modified with upgraded electrical service, lighting, new flooring, additional shipping docks and new racks to hold inventory. The expansion is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2009.

Brian Hunt Sells Property

Brian Hunt LLC recently sold the Best Motors campus in Bentonville to the Everett Group Bentonville Land Co. LLC for $2.4 million.

Brian Hunt is the registered agent of Brian Hunt LLC of Rogers. 

Dwight T. Everett is listed as the incorporator/organizer of the Everett Group of Bryant. 

Everett and Clay Maxey, who currently operate another dealership in Benton, will continue to operate the automotive dealership, offering the full line of Pontiac, Buick and GMC vehicles.

Pinkley Construction Builds Rogers Homes

Paul Pinkley Construction, of Rogers, recently purchased six building permits for a combined value of $702,624 to build single-family homes in the Meadow Wood Subdivision off Old Wire Road in Rogers.

The three-bedroom, two-bath homes with brick exteriors will retail for about $124,000. They are located at 403 and 407 McCann Road, and 411, 413, 417, and 421 Meadow Wood Lane.

The homes will be built on lots that are about 0.2 acres with an average size of about 62-feet by 130-feet. Amenities will include ceiling fans, arched openings, crown molding, walk-in closets, custom cabinets, privacy fence and keyless entry.

Doug Gibson at Crye-Leike Realtors is the listing agent for the homes.

Riggins Builds More Springdale Homes

Kevin Riggins through his Riggins Construction Inc. of Springdale recently purchased four building permits valued a combined $688,634 to build more single-family homes in Springdale’s Parker Place subdivision.

The homes will be 1,500 SF each with brick exteriors. They will be located at 4356, 4357, 4378 and 4379 Beacon Court.

Amenities will include granite countertops and custom cabinets.

Each home will list for about $150,000 to $160,000.

First Security Bank is providing the financing on the project

Riggins Construction is the general contractor.

Riggins’ brother, Kenndall Riggins, a managing broker with Crye-Lieke Realtors, will be the exclusive listing agent on the homes.

The homes are scheduled to be completed by February.

Landmarc Builds Rogers Homes

Landmarc Custom Homes LLC of Fayetteville recently purchased four building permits for a combined value of $686,400 to build single-family homes in the Creekwood Subdivision of Rogers.

The homes will be located at 3705, 3801, 3803 and 3805 Lexington Drive.

Amenities will include attic storage, cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, walk-in closets, community pool, granite countertops and covered patios.

U.S. Beef Buys Lots

John and Candace Lovell recently sold five lots in the Sunset Addition in Fayetteville to United States Beef Corp. for $600,000.

United States Beef Corp. is a franchisee organization based in Tulsa and owns Arby’s restaurants and Taco Bueno restaurants.

The Lovells purchased the lots on W. 6th Street and W. Venus Street in 2005 from Globe CEO, LLC for $448,000.
