Gen. Lloyd "Fig" Newton was instrumental in retaining the flying mission of the Arkansas Air National Guard’s 188th Fighter Wing during the 2005 BRAC. Gen. Newton will be in Fort Smith to discuss his rationale for supporting Fort Smith’s new mission – A-10 Warthogs – and sharing insights for "BRAC-proofing" Fort Smith’s important military missions. $12 for lunch is an opportunity to say "Thanks!" to a man who believes in our community and our Flying Razorbacks.
