Dick Trammel Roast Set

Northwest Arkansas’ premier rainmaker will be roasted on Dec. 2 at the Fayetteville Town Center.

Few faces are as famous as Dick Trammel’s thanks to his exhaustive work in the community both as a leading fundraiser for area nonprofit organizations and as an executive vice president at Arvest Bank.

Youth Bridge Inc., which serves at-risk youth in Northwest Arkansas, is putting on the event and will benefit from the proceeds. Tickets are $75 and tables are also available.

The self-deprecating, ever-smiling Trammel — last seen hamming it up in the recent Dancing with the Northwest Arkansas Stars — already has some prominent names lining up to roast him.

Confirmed roasters so far include: University of Arkansas Chancellor David Gearhart, NorthWest Arkansas Community College President Becky Paneitz, Elise Mitchell of Mitchell Communications and Coleman Peterson, long-time executive at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and now of Hollis Enterprises LLC.

The roastmaster will be Jim Blankenship, director of sales, marketing and promotions for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Northwest edition.
