College Gets a Facelift

Bad economy? What bad economy?

As the street improvements to College Avenue continue in Fayetteville, we’ve noticed a few buildings trying to spruce up as well.

Lacuna no longer looks so lonely as the only well-tended building between Maple and North streets. Once decrepit Curry’s building has given itself a facelift, LouLou’s Fish Shack has been a hit and the former Gonzales Mexican Restaurant has been remodeled from a gutting by fire a few years back and is now home to boutique Maude.

Maude moved down College from a location farther north, and while that means another empty building somewhere else it sure helps the stretch of road Fayetteville is trying to improve.
