Northwest Arkansas Businesses For Sale
As the economy — locally and nationally — slumps, some well-known businesses are going up for sale.
A Sixth Street fixture for more than three decades, Dave’s Economy Liquor is for sale by longtime owner David Kelsey for $1.35 million.
Italian restaurant Belle Arti of Rogers is for sale for $150,000 for the 11,000-SF location. Irish joint Celtic Grille in Bentonville is also up for grabs, for $200,000.
On the Spanish side, Tapanazos, which moved into the old train depot in downtown Fayetteville last year, is also for sale at a price of $230,000.
And, as regular Whispers readers will recall, Tony Catroppa is still listing his many bars, pool halls, strip clubs and eateries. We called him a couple months ago to see what was up, but he didn’t seem too eager to talk.
The latest listing, apparently written by Tony C himself, reveals the mystery: “Call me. Let’s make a deal. I want to RETIRE.”
Catroppa apparently doesn’t want to hire a listing agent to help him out, though, with little things like spelling. But so you know, the businesses are in a prime “locotion” and the some leases are “nogotable.”
