Vogue Recognition for Arkansas Yoga Center
Flipping through the September issue of Vogue magazine, we spotted Fayetteville’s own Arkansas Yoga Center.
Dubbed an “environmentalist oasis,” Andrea Fournet’s yoga campus is recognized as one of the “earliest adopters of the green yoga movement.”
The magazine credits the center, built in 2005 on Green Acres Road, for its use of exterior aluminum walls insulated with newspaper, the outdoor deck made of recycled soda bottles, and the discarded-oak flooring warmed by energy-efficient radiant heat.
Fournet was featured as a nominee in the Business Journal’s green office competition in July.
