Globalink Realtors has become part of Crye-Leike Realtors of Northwest Arkansas. The two companies announced their merger June 1. Globalink will operate under the Crye-Leike name and the company’s managing broker and 20 sales associates will assume office space in Crye-Leike’s new 18,000-SF Fayetteville office at 1280 E. Stearns St.

Globalink managing broker John Cardin will share management duties with Crye-Leike’s Fayetteville managing broker Dale McCauley. The merger will create a residential real estate sales force of about 50 associates.

Ron Wilkins founded Globalink in 2001. The firm ranked 26th on the 2007 largest real estate firms list published by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. The company had $19.8 million in sales and 31 employees in 2007.

Crye-Leike was ninth on the 2007 list with $87.08 million in sales and 95 employees.

As part of the merger, Wilkins will join Crye-Leike’s commercial real estate division in Fayetteville.

“This merger and Crye-Leike’s growth comes at a critical time in our market as everyone is working tirelessly to assist buyers and sellers,” said Crye-Leike Northwest Arkansas administrative manager Kendall Birdsong.
