Schwyhart House Hunting

We don’t know if he’s leaving us or just looking for a few extra rooms to stash his stuff but we do know that Bill Schwyhart recently paid $2.2 million for a six-bedroom, six-bathroom house in Memphis, Tenn. The classic-style home was listed for $2.5 million.

Schwyhart’s purchase is interesting in itself — and probably a little frustrating for area real estate agents — but the story got a whole lot more interesting when we learned that the previous owner of the home was James Phillips, who served as the CEO of two Tennessee technology companies before being ousted from both positions on allegations of money mismanagement. Phillips is now a managing partner of Pinnacle Investments in Rogers.

Small world.
