Crossland Builds Homewood Suites (Real Deals)

Crossland Construction Co. purchased a $10.9 million building permit for the construction of a 79,000-SF Homewood Suites hotel at 1305 N. Palak Dr., near southeast intersection of Wedington Drive and Interstate 540.

The Hilton brand hotel will have four floors, more than 100 suite-style rooms, an indoor pool and a meeting area.

ArcTech Inc. of Tulsa was the architectural firm for the project.

Seaside Pools Inc. is installing the swimming pool.

Narry Krushiker, through his Krushiker Hospitality Group Inc., is the project developer.

Kinco Constructs Worship Center

Kinco Constructors LLC purchased a $3.82 million building permit in February for the construction of a sanctuary and gathering hall for the Trinity Fellowship Assembly of God congregation.

The 24,120-SF building will be located on the church campus at 1100 E. Rolling Hills in Fayetteville.

There are currently two existing buildings on the site.

The new building will include a sanctuary, which will have stadium seating and will seat up to 500 people. A gathering hall and a children’s sanctuary, which will seat up to 125 people will also be located in the new building.

Trinity Fellowship pastor Darren Rogers said he hopes to be in the new facility by the first quarter of 2009.

Hagerman New Urbanism LLC of Springfield, Mo., was the architectural firm for the project.

Campbell Electric Inc. is the electrical sub-contractor.

First Security Bank is financing the project.

The congregation is currently holding their weekly services in the existing 17,000-SF gym.

A 2007 fire destroyed the church’s previous sanctuary.

Wear Construction Raises New Church

Wear Construction Management Co. purchased a $2.6 million building permit for the addition of an 18,700-SF sanctuary at the Central Christian Church located at 400 N. Waldron Rd. in Fort Smith.

Tim Beasley was the architect for the project.

The new sanctuary will seat 480 to 700 people and will be located on the west side of the property.

The addition will include a gathering area, parlor and a baptistery.

The nursery and classrooms that will be replaced by the addition will be moved to the area occupied by the existing parlor.

The total cost of the addition and subsequent renovations is $2.85 million.

Petrinos Purchase Classy Quarters

Bobby and Rebecca Petrino purchased the 6,450-SF, two-story home located at 4518 E. Bridgewater Ln. in Fayetteville’s Bridgewater Estates from Justin and Susan Salter for $2.25 million.

The Salters built the home in 2006. In 2007, the home appraised for $1.17 million.

Bobby Petrino is the new head football coach for the University of Arkansas.

The Petrinos purchased their home with a $2.14 million mortgage from Signature Bank of Arkansas.

Sparks Medical Adds Space

Wear Construction Management Co. purchased a $2.1 million building permit for the renovation of 14,695-SF of existing space at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

Construction crews will be renovating the hospital’s existing emergency room, which was recently replaced as part of the hospital’s 142,000-SF expansion.

The renovation will result in 16 exam rooms, 12 physician offices, a lab, an infusion room and a procedure room. About 10 hospital physicians will utilize the new space.

MAHG Architecture Inc. was the architectural firm for the project.

American Health Facilities Development Inc. is the project manager for the renovation work.

Golden Corral Rounded Up

G. Oney & Associates Inc. of Springfield, Mo., purchased a $1.6 million building permit for the construction of Golden Corral at 2605 Pleasant Crossing Dr. in Rogers’ Pleasant Crossing development.

The restaurant will be 11,080 SF and will seat about 330 people.

Professional Air Systems is the mechanical sub-contractor. Northwest Electrical Co. is the electrical sub-contractor

Golden Partners Inc. is the owner and developer of the restaurant.

Oswalts Purchase Talamore Home

Scott and Valerie Oswalt purchased the 5,601-SF home at 11463 Belfry Pt. in Phase IV of Bentonville’s Talamore Subdivision from Sands Construction Corp. for $1.16 million on March 28.

The two-story home was built in 2006 and has five-and-a-half bathrooms, a walkout kitchen and a swimming pool.

The home is located on 2.92 acres. The property appraised for $942,200 in 2007 and had a listing price of $1.25 million.

Sand Construction purchased the lot from 3-Putz LLC, the Talamore subdivision developers, in January 2004 for $98,000.

Natalie Edwards of Harris McHaney Realtors was the listing agent for the property.

Fowler Develops Commercial Building

John Davidson recently purchased a $678,866 building permit from the city of Fayetteville for the construction of a two-story commercial building at 2961 N. Point Cir. in Fayetteville.

Jason Fowler is the project developer.

Mourton Assets is the general contractor.

The building will be about 6,500 SF total and will be completed in July. Lease rates for the building will be about $20 per SF.

The building will have office space available for lease. Units can be as small as 400 SF or as large as 3,000 SF.

Whitley Dunn of Management Realty is the leasing agent for the property.

Dunn said the bottom floor could also be leased as restaurant space.

Fowler, through his Monroe North Point LLC, purchased the lot for the building from Steven Fowler for $150,000 in March 2006.
