Soderquist Center Hosts Chinese Team
Zhao Xiao, professor of economics at the University of Science and Technology, Beijing, and a government economic consultant, spoke about China’s economic future and its impact on the U.S. at The Soderquist Center on Oct. 24.
Xiao spoke on behalf of the Leadership Development International team in China.
LDI is an American education and training company specializing in international management and leadership training.
The company has five leadership schools in China.
Xiao said China will continue to grow and the U.S. and the rest of the world must “help make China good.”
China is currently in a rapid expansion phase, with predicted economic growth of 10 percent each year for the next five years.
Now is the time, Xiao said, for Americans to invest in China and help make China a “blessing for the world.”
Through business institutes such as the Cypress Leadership Institute, which Xiao said he is helping to establish in Beijing through a partnership with LDI, more Chinese professionals can develop strong morals and ethics.
Those characteristics, Xiao said, will help make China a prosperous and “good” country in the future.
