Three Area Companies Make Inc.?s 5000 List
Three area businesses were recently ranked in the top 1,000 on Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America.
MySupplementStore.com, a Bentonville-based Web store that sells vitamins and bodybuilding accessories at discounted prices was ranked No. 793 on the overall list, and was No. 40 on the list of top retail companies. The business, which was founded in 2002 and has just two employees, took in revenue of $2.4 million in 2006, an increase of nearly 430 percent from 2003.
Joshua Smith, founder and CEO of MySupplementStore.com was also named to Inc.’s list of 30 top CEOs younger than 30.
Rogers-based marketing firm New Creature was ranked No. 701 on the overall list and No. 67 on the list of top advertising and marketing companies. The company’s revenue grew by 476 percent from 2003 to 2006, with revenue of $13.1 million for last year. New Creature employs 17 people and was founded in 1999.
EagleOne Logistics, a Fort Smith company that delivers pharmaceuticals was ranked No. 884 on the overall list and was No. 14 on the list of top logistics companies. In 2006, EagleOne, which has 129 employees and was founded in 1994, had revenue of $33.6 million, a 394.6 percent increase from 2003.
The Inc. 5,000 is an expanded version of the list of the top 500 fastest-growing private companies that the magazine has put together since 1982. Rankings for the lists are based on how fast a business’s revenue is growing year over year.
