KNWA-TV, vice president and general manager Blake Russell recently announced three personnel changes that will put two new faces in front of the NBC affiliate’s cameras.

Kelly George has been named the primary anchor for the station’s morning news program, KNWA Today.

For the past year, George has appeared at numerous speaking events throughout the state at Miss Arkansas USA 2007.

Before coming to KNWA George served as the chief of media relations at Little Rock Air Force Base near Jacksonville.

George will join Jason Dollard weekdays from 5:30 to 7:00 am. and will also be seen throughout the morning on local news breaks during “The Today Show.”

Aaron Peters was also named KNWA’s main anchor for the nightly Razorback Nation, which also appears on KARK-TV.

Russell said Peters’ was “the perfect person to take the Razorback Nation franchise to the next level.”

Prior to joining the Razorback Nation team, Peters spent five years at ABC-affiliated KHBS/KHOG-TV in Fayetteville.

In August 2006, he was appointed sports anchor for Fox affiliate KFTA-TV, Channel 24.

As part of the move Jason Carroll was named executive sports producer for the station. Carroll has been a sports producer with the Razorback Nation since 2004.
