Irwin Leaves ?Press Row,? Hogville.net (Outtakes Opinion)

As of July 31, KFSM-TV, Channel 5 sports director Mike Irwin is no longer hosting morning talk show “Press Row” on KREB-AM, 1190 or blogging for hogville.net.

KFSM president Van Comer said the station wanted Irwin to focus his efforts exclusively on television and KFSM’s Web site, where he expects Irwin’s popular commentary on all things Hog related will help drive Internet traffic.

Irwin’s co-host Grant Hall, who writes for The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas, has been joined in the studio by fellow TMN staffer Vernon Tarver.

Quite frankly, we’re glad to see a reporter of Irwin’s stature no longer associated with an adolescent rumor mill like Hogville.
