IPC Connects Dots Around the World

IPC Communications can put businesses in touch — at the touch of a button — with an office halfway around the globe. The Bentonville-based IT company offers Internet telephony and high-speed Internet service to companies large and small.
Besides blazing connection speed, this could mean big savings on long-distance to businesses with offices around the country or the world.
IPC customers can also essentially take the office with them wherever they go. If a customer needed to be in Brazil while staying in touch with clients and the main office, all they would need is a laptop and a high-speed connection. Because the phone service is provided via the Internet, location is irrelevant. It would be the same as if the call came from home, said Alan Reed, IPC account executive. And if a physical phone isn’t available, a software phone is, which can be accessed on-screen at the click of a mouse.
Customer service also sets IPC apart from the competition. If someone using AT&T or Cox has a problem and wants to talk to a human, it could take a while, whereas someone from IPC is available any time, said Jon Williams, finance director.
The company is also 100 percent redundant, meaning all services are backed up externally, so if a storm were to strike, IPC and its customers would still be connected, Reed said. As long as the customer has a source of power, IPC will provide Internet service.
