A Fayetteville original is flying south.

Foghorn’s, which boasts 50 wing sauces at its North College Avenue home, will open a second location at University Village on 15th Street across from Baum Stadium.

The space will be 3,500 SF with a 1,120-SF patio compared to the College location’s 2,000 SF and 720-SF patio. Owner Jeff Hodges said an opening sometime between Nov. 1 and Dec. 1 is probable.

Foghorn’s will join Pig-N-Whistle BBQ, a Memphis restaurant owned by John Ellis, also of Memphis and the majority owner of University Village.

Foghorn’s had $390,300 in sales during 2006 according to city tax records. It is on target for similar sales in 2007 with $160,300 reported in the first five months.

With the widening of Razorback Road completed save for some landscaping of the medians, the 15th Street corridor is becoming quite a bustling area with the Staybridge Suites nearing completion, numerous new apartment complexes in place and the 141-unit Champions’ Club on Razorback in the planning stages.
