Sweet tooths will be glad to hear Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery will be opening as early as April in the Paradigm Co. building on North College in Fayetteville. The building underwent a major facelift in the last year and currently is also home to World Gym.
Joy Snider, who will manage the 1,100-SF parlor, said Maggie Moo’s will employ about 12 people in Fayetteville with plans to add two more locations in Benton County within 6 to 9 months. Another location could also be added elsewhere in Washington County.
The Fayetteville location will be the first in Arkansas for the Maryland-based franchiser.
Maggie Moo’s is distinctive for making all its ice cream fresh on-site and allowing customers to pick their toppings and watch everything mixed on a frozen slab.
Snider said Maggie Moo’s is the only company to win awards for five different flavors from the National Ice Cream Retailers Association, beating out companies like Breyer’s, Edy’s and Blue Bell.
