Forty Under 40: Nicolas Jake McLeod
Nic McLeod went from sacking quarterbacks at Shiloh Christian High School to tackling his clients’ financial needs as executive vice president of sales at McLeod Agency Inc.
But before he began working with fixed annuities in Northwest Arkansas he was backing up bands in the recording studios of Los Angeles. McLeod also studied jazz guitar theory at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
He came back from California to work alongside his family. And along the way, he fell in love with the business.
In addition to managing the wealth of hundreds of clients from all over the country, McLeod and his father also give seminars on IRA planning.
McLeod doesn’t single out one career highlight, but finds constant satisfaction from giving his clients financial stability.
He is driven to succeed because he’s always wanted to be the best at whatever he does.
One of his career goals is to recruit many more financial advisers over the next few years and expand the company nationwide.
He is active out of the office as well, working out at Northwest Gym six days a week and getting in a few rounds of golf when he can.
McLeod eventually wants to open a recording studio to produce music.
