Forty Under 40: Charles Todd Wisdom
Todd Wisdom found his calling in high school. The Tulsa native was a senior when his accounting teacher introduced him to the world of debits and credits. He crunched numbers on practice sets, and found he enjoyed the work.
Wisdom graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1991 with a bachelor’s in accounting and finance, and earned his CPA in 1994. For more than ten years, he worked for Arthur Andersen, moving to Northwest Arkansas with the company in 1999. He left in 2001 before the collapse of Enron and the resulting scandal forced the former “Big Five” accounting firm to shut its doors.
Wisdom joined the team at Tullius Taylor Sartain & Sartain after his stint with Andersen. He credits his interest in working for a public accounting firm to his days as a bellman at the Doubletree Hotel in Tulsa. That job, which he held during college, taught him the value of excellent service.
One of the biggest achievements of Wisdom’s career was making equity partner at TTS&S. Over the next few years, he wants to help the firm become a major regional player.
Wisdom serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
