Raving for KNWA?s Rant (Opinion)

KNWA-TV Channels 24/51, Northwest Arkansas’ NBC affiliate, has started to air a segment on its newscasts called “The Rant.”
The segment is the equivalent of an editorial page, filled with opinion and viewer’s e-mailed comments. So far, The Rant has attacked area oil suppliers for gouging and a political commercial for gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchison.
Though we think The Rant has been a little one-sided in the segments we’ve seen, we think it’s a bold and refreshing move for a television station in a closely-knit market like Northwest Arkansas.
