We hear that Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is looking to put a Neighborhood Market at the intersection of highways 412 and 112.
Brett Hash of Re/Max Associates of Fayetteville said he had a contract with Wal-Mart for a store on the northeast corner. However, Wal-Mart backed out of the deal within the due diligence period.
Steve Stokenberry manages the land on southeast corner of the intersection. He recently cleaned out some old houses and removed some timber for regular maintenance but said he knew nothing about a Neighborhood Market.
