A major Johnson developer is working out the details of donating land to the City of Johnson to build a park.
It’s supposed to be about 10 acres and there should be an announcement in the next month.
Johnson mayor Richard Long said he’s heard things along those same lines for a while, but added that nothing has been concrete. He’s not even sure who the alleged developer could be.
“That’d be great if it’s true,” Long said. “Maybe we could build a baseball or softball field, but right now, I have no idea that it’s even going to happen.”
