Northwest Tops State?s Largest Malls List

Arkansas Business released August 21 the list of the top 25 largest malls and shopping centers in the state.

The state’s largest is Central Mall in Fort Smith with 864,582 SF. The mall was built in 1972 and is owned by Greg Greenfield & Associates.

No. 2 in the state is Macerich Co.’s Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. It is 820,703 SF.

The Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, slated to open in October, is the third largest shopping center. The 790,000 SF development is owned by General Growth Partners and the Pinnacle Group.

Rounding out the top five in the state are McCain Mall in North Little Rock and The Mall at Turtle Creek in Jonesboro with 775,877 and 750,000 SF, respectively.

Other Northwest Arkansas shopping centers making the list includes: Spring Creek Center in Fayetteville (588,339 SF), Ozark Center Point Place in Springdale (352,000 SF), Massard Crossing in Fort Smith (300,717 SF), Fiesta Square in Fayetteville (264,500 SF) and Steele Crossing in Fayetteville (261,324 SF).
