Rogers-based ANB Financial N.A. will close its bank location at 3873 N. Mall Ave. in Fayetteville on Oct. 15.

Nat Bothwell, executive vice president of marketing for ANB, said the location is a good spot for the bank, but that the space is leased and therefore it limits ANB’s “ability to make modifications” to the bank.

The office is on an end of a strip shopping center, and all of ANB’s other locations are stand-alone banks, he said.

ANB has no current plans to build and open a replacement branch, he said. Employees of the branch will be moved to the bank’s other two Fayetteville locations.

ANB operates 13 total offices: 11 full-service banks in Northwest Arkansas and a loan production office in both Utah and Wyoming.

The bank had total assets of $1.17 billion as of June 30, up 49 percent from $788 a year earlier. Bank-wide, deposits were $823 million, up from $508 million the previous year.

As of June 30, 2005, the most recent data available, the Fayetteville Mall Avenue branch had $7.1 million in deposits.
