Two lawyers and one paralegal have left Wright Lindsey & Jennings’ Rogers office to staff the first Arkansas office of San Francisco-based Littler Mendelson, a national labor and employment law firm that has more than 500 lawyers in 36 offices.

Eva Madison, an associate; Scott Summers, of counsel; and Jenny Disney, a paralegal, left WL&J on Aug. 16 and opened Littler Mendelson’s office in Fayetteville on Aug. 21. The temporary office is located in the CMN Business Park but could move to a permanent location in a month, Madison said.

Madison and Summers had both worked as staff attorneys for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. — Madison for two years and Summers for four. Madison was one of several lawyers who worked for Wal-Mart on the largest class-action gender-discrimination lawsuit in history, Dukes vs. Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Century-old, Little Rock-based WL&J had six lawyers in its Northwest Arkansas office, so the departure drops that number to four for now.
