Katzfey Takes Job at Fairchild Construction

Rick Katzfey, who had been the chief meteorologist at KNWA for three years, left the NBC affiliate in July and took a job as vice president of business development at Fairchild Construction Inc. of Bentonville.

Fairchild is a commercial construction company that is currently working on Kent Dobbs’ Hyundai of Bentonville dealership.

Katzfey said he doesn’t miss broadcasting, and he’ll be able to enjoy watching weathercasts without feeling like it’s work.

“What meteorology and broadcasting did for me was help me meet a lot of people,” he said.
