Five Reporters Leave Morning News

We don’t usually write about the musical-chair movements of reporters at the area’s daily newspapers, but with five reporters leaving The Morning News at about the same time, it seemed noteworthy.
Departing are John Anderson, who is moving to Klamath Falls, Oregon; Denise Malan for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times in Texas; Jeff Smith for Procter & Gamble; Kristin Netterstrom to be a reporter for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock; and Amy Cotham to the Chanute Tribune in Kansas.
Netterstrom was recently named Outstanding Young Journalist of 2005 by the Arkansas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Rusty Turner, managing editor of The Morning News, said he had no comment “other than we wish them well.”
