Fitness Franchise Opens

Two Fitness Together studios have opened in Bentonville this year. The most recent was a location at S.E. 22nd Street, which opened in March. The first location, in north Bentonville, opened in February.

Daniel Schaap, manager of the newest location, said Fitness Together is a personal trainer business different from a typical gym. The business takes on individual clients instead of allowing the public to join and use its equipment, he said.

Clients get a personal trainer who performs a comprehensive custom evaluation and then asks the client to commitment to specific weight loss or fitness goals. The trainers review a client’s diet and exercise journal about every four to six weeks, Schaap said.

Sessions are 45 minutes, and the cost ranges from $42 to $59 each, depending on the number of committed sessions, he said. The minimum commitment is 12 sessions.

The facility’s equipment includes cardiovascular machines like bikes, treadmills and elliptical machines, as well as free weights. Personal attention and a private environment are attractive to most clients, Schaap said.

Fitness Together Franchise Corp.is located in Highlands Ranch, Colo., and has franchises in 38 states as well as Ireland and Canada. Franchise fees range from $90,000 to $201,000, and the company is opening between 10 and 15 studios a month.

Both Bentonville locations are owned by different investors.
