Lemongrass, a Thai restaurant at the Bentonville Colonnade, closed in March.

Supha Vandiver plans to open Siam Palace, another Thai restaurant, in the same location at the end of May.

Vandiver said the new restaurant will have the same interior design but offer more of a family-friendly atmosphere. Patrons have the option of sitting at tables or on the floor, where holes allow diners to dangle their feet if they choose not to sit cross-legged. There will also be a patio added onto the building.

The menu will be authentic Thai food, ranging from $5 to $14 for lunch and dinner, Vandiver said. There will also be a kids’ menu with four items, and on Thursdays kids eat free.

Siam Palace will also offer catering.

The restaurant, located at 3404 S.E. Macy Road, will have about eight employees. After being open for about a month, she plans to add delivery service to the Bentonville area.

Lemongrass had $101,401 in sales during the four months it was open last year, according to Bentonville tax records.
