Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale tops the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s list of largest poultry firms in the state.

With 2005 poultry sales of $8,295 million and average weekly production of 150 million pounds, Tyson Foods trounces its closest competitor, Simmons Foods Inc. of Siloam Springs, which brought in $600 million in sales and produced 9.61 million pounds of poultry in 2005.
