TGI Friday’s opened in Fayetteville on March 13, said Steve Bell, president of Tricorp Food Services Inc. in St. Louis, which has the franchise rights in Northwest Arkansas. It is the first TGI Friday’s in Northwest Arkansas. The nearest one is in Fort Smith.

The 6,500-SF restaurant can seat 210 people and has 45 tables and a bar area. Harrison Sharifian was hired as the general manager. The restaurant will have about 150 employees, Bell said.

“We’re looking right now. We wanted to get this one in line and feed off it,” Bell said when asked if there were plans for other TGI Friday’s in Northwest Arkansas. “We’re looking in Rogers, Bentonville and some other areas to come up with a deal in six months or so.”

The restaurant’s menu consists of steaks, ribs, seafood, chicken, salads, soups, pastas and sandwiches, according to its Web site, which also mentions the Jack Daniels Grill, one of the restaurant’s best selling items.
