RMG Launches MarketPlace Catering

Restaurant Management Group of Springdale started a new catering division this past fall.

The company said MarketPlace Catering will be able to cater events for 50 to more than 500 people. Prices can range from $8 to $80, and “everything in between,” said Dave Godwin, who owns the business along with Dave Strong.

RMG owns MarketPlace Grills in Springdale, Fort Smith and Conway; MarketPlace Express eateries in Fayetteville, Rogers and Fort Smith; Brioso Brazil in Bentonville; and Blue Ribbon Chicken in Fort Smith.

The company will provide buffet-style catering as well as catering for formal events. It will be able to cater most of the meals on the menu at MarketPlace Grill and MarketPlace Express along with some menu items from Brioso Brazil.

In 2005, the company’s restaurants and catering served more than 1 million meals.
