Montana Tractors of Springdale hosted more than 400 people at its dealer show held Jan. 5 through Jan. 7 at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale. In addition to classes and demonstrations, the event included appearances by NASCAR driver Sterling Martin and singer Twila Paris.

There are more than 275 Montana dealers nationwide and in Canada.

At the show, the company unveiled 13 new tractor models, including a 70 horsepower model. Previously, the company sold tractors up to 57 horsepower.

Rodney Miller, CEO of Montana Tractors, said the company had more than $60 million in sales in 2005 and its dealer network more than doubled.

“It has surpassed anything we could have ever imagined,” said Charles Goforth, co-owner of Montana Tractors along with J.B. Hunt and Dan Downing.

Goforth said 2005 sales more than quadrupled over the previous year, but the company was founded in May 2004, so it only had sales for seven months of that year.

Goforth said the success was due to the quality of the employees and the products.

“We’ve had almost zero warranty claims,” Goforth said.
