VeriSource, Advanced Control Solutions Merger Called Off

Readers may remember an April 2004 Page 1 story about a “merger” between VeriSource Inc. of Rogers and Advanced Control Solutions Inc. of Bentonville.

Since that time, the Business Journal has received anonymous phone calls and e-mails from a disgruntled ex-ACS employee who believed he owned stock in ACS and wanted a share in the merger pie. But, that business arrangement, which has since been described as a “revenue sharing arrangement,” has apparently fallen through.

Jeff Call, president of ACS is no longer at VeriSource’s offices, and the phone number to ACS’s Bentonville offices are disconnected. There is no listing for his personal residence.

Chris Maddox, partner and CEO of VeriSource, said the two companies terminated their arrangement sometime in May, and one reason was because Call was “distracted” by other things.

“That never worked out the way we all wanted it to,” Maddox said.
