KNWA announced on Nov. 29 that it had hired Alexa Hamblin to be weekend anchor/reporter.

Hamblin previously served as primary anchor for the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts at KTEN-TV in Dennison, Texas. She also served as the 5 p.m. anchor and producer. Hamblin started work at KNWA on Dec. 10, said Alan Little, KNWA’s news director.

She replaced Aryana Evers, who left in November to move to Little Rock with her husband Charles Crowson, former director of media relations for the University of Arkansas. Crowson has taken a job with Stone Ward, the Little Rock advertising agency.

KNWA, the area’s NBC affiliate, is owned by Nexstar Broadcasting Inc. of Irving, Texas.
