We hear former Wal-Mart executive Rob Hey is cooperating with federal authorities in their investigation of Thomas Coughlin, the company’s former No. 2 who was ousted earlier this year for allegedly bilking Wal-Mart out of more than $500,000.

Hey pleaded guilty on Nov. 7 to three counts of wire fraud for his role in assisting Coughlin. The grand jury in Fort Smith is still considering Coughlin’s case.

In the meantime, a San Francisco Bread Co. opened in Bentonville. The restaurant is owned by Terry Pharr, a former Wal-Mart senior vice president who was fired in the Coughlin house cleaning earlier this year.
