First State Bank Plans Fayetteville Branch

Sharp eyes may have noticed that Huntsville-chartered First State Bank of Northwest Arkansas closed its stand-alone location on East Mission Boulevard in Fayetteville.

First State sold the building to Priority Bank, an Ozark-based thrift, and Priority plans to open its first northwest banking office there soonPriority has had a loan production office down the road for quite a while.

That brings the total number of First State offices to two: one on North College Avenue in Fayetteville on the first floor of the old SWEPCO building, and one in Huntsville.

Curtis Hutchins, president and CEO of FSB, could not be reached for comment before press time.
