Brian Adams and Kevin Jacobs plan to open a Whole Hog Café in Bentonville by late September.
The restaurant, at the corner of Interstate 540 and Walton Boulevard, will be operated under a license agreement with the owners of Whole Hog Café in Little Rock — Ron Blasingame, Mike Blasingame and Mike Davis. The Little Rock restaurant opened in 2000.
Whole Hog Café won first place in the whole hog division at the Memphis in May barbecue competition in 2002. More than 250 teams from seven countries participated. Ron Blasingame said the company also plans to open three restaurants in Memphis and one each in Nashville, Tenn., and Santa Fe, N.M.
