Razorback Roundup Provides Horse Buying Opportunity
One of the best places to pick up a good horse is from the Razorback Roundup, an annual auction that supports the University of Arkansas’ Dorothy E. King Equine Program. This year’s roundup is set for Nov. 19. About 25 horses, ranging from yearlings to 10-year old geldings, will be auctioned.
Keith Lusby, department head of the UA’s Division of Agriculture, said last year the roundup pulled in $52,000 for the program, with horses going for between $1,200 and $8,000 a pop.
