Fort Smith’s McIntosh Group is Morphing

The McIntosh Group Inc. is going through some growth spurts, which means change.

John McIntosh, who ran the Fort Smith company as a sole proprietor for 13 years, took on two new partners in January, allowing Cameron Clement, TMG’s creative director, and Tom Kirk, the firm’s new president, to buy an interest in the business.

But Kirk has since become the company’s chief financial officer, and Clement has been named president.

The firm is also closing the downtown Bentonville office it shared with Cameron Smith & Associates and opening an office in Fayetteville, somewhere near Dickson Street. The Bentonville office was getting cramped with CSA’s growth, and wasn’t the “right” space, Clement said.

The new office will actually be a new division of TMG, called X-7 Interactive. The office will house three employees who focus only on Web development, Clement said.
