Hickman Opens Bo’s Muddy Water

Melanie “Bo” Hickman opened Bo’s Muddy Water, a restaurant and organic coffee shop, in late May at 2367 N. Green Acres Road, Suite 3, in Fayetteville’s Colt Square.
“From a harlequin décor to wireless Internet access, we’re just a little bit different,” she said.
The 1,300-SF eatery is owned by Hickman, her husband Paul and friends Curtis and Melanie Raymond, all of Fayetteville. It can seat about 20 customers.
Melanie Hickman admits she’s not a coffee drinker. In fact, Paul Hickman picked the name because his wife once referred to coffee as “muddy water.”
But they’re definitely not serving muddy water at Bo’s Muddy Water.
Besides gourmet coffee, the restaurant features vegetarian breakfast wraps, sandwiches and quiche. Bo’s has healthy meals as well as chocolate cake and “Scooter Pie,” which is a cappuccino cheesecake.
Bo’s is open from 5:50 a.m. to 7:53 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 5:50 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
