Senate Bill 200 by Sen. Bobby Glover, D-Carlisle, would amend the FOI act affecting the records and meetings of public water systems. It would extend for another two years an exemption to the Act that was approved by the last General Assembly to match federal regulations enacted after Sept. 11, 2001.

House Bill 1212 by Rep. Eric Harris, R-Lowell, would allow the Fire and Police Pension Review Board to meet in executive session with the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System Board to allow executive director records created by the board to be personnel records and to meet jointly in executive session. It passed the House 93-7 and is sponsored in the Senate by Sen. Jimmy Jeffress, D-Crossett.

House Bill 1139 by Rep. John Paul Verkamp, R-Greenwood, would allow city attorneys to attend executive sessions of public meetings at the request of the municipality.

House Bill 1182, also by Rep. Verkamp, would set a maximum fee of 25 cents per copy for copies requested under the FOI without having to establish the actual cost for making those copies.
