Legacy National Bank, headed up by President Don Gibson, got its approval from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. on Feb. 8, Vice President Danny Dotson said.

All that’s holding the doors shut are the final exams.

The yet-to-open-for-business bank has 16 employees — 50 percent more than two weeks prior — and is almost fully staffed for an opening, which the group hopes will happen in late March.

The principals and employees, who have been camped out in the basement of George’s Inc. in Springdale, will move to temporary offices at U.S. Highway 412 and 40th Street in Springdale the week of Feb. 14, Dotson said.
