Forty Under 40: Robin Green

Following in a parent’s footsteps is a family tradition for Robin Green, 36. Her father served as a judge in Searcy for 20 years. Her sister became a doctor, following her mother’s health care lead.

While in high school, Green worked for a lawyer after school and on weekends. During law school, she clerked for Bill Wilson, who is now a federal judge in Little Rock.

Green attended Hendrix College in Conway, graduating in 1990. She went to law school at her father’s alma mater, the University of Arkansas.

She has served as Benton County civil attorney and as the county’s prosecuting attorney and has had the opportunity to serve as a special justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court.

That service, Green said, is one of her greatest achievements. The other is her successful prosecution of the murder and kidnapping case involving Albert Keith Smith, which was the longest and most expensive case in the county’s history.

Green said that the reward of public service is not the salary, it’s in the service itself.

In her spare time, she volunteers with the Cancer Challenge, sits on the board of trustees at her church, and is a member of several legal and professional associations.
