Forty Under 40: Elizabeth Moore
Having raised nearly $1 million through five total years with the American Heart Association, Elizabeth Moore, 31, could probably coast a little. But that’s not her style.
One of the fundraisers Moore oversees, The Northwest Arkansas Heart Gala, grew 37 percent from $122,000 in 2003 to $167,000 in 2005. During her latest three-year stint with the AHA, Moore’s events have raised $667,600 to fight heart disease.
Neither the gala nor her Paint the Town Red event, Moore said, would be successful without volunteers like banker Jeff Dunn.
“Knowing that heart disease runs in my family, I have a passion for the AHA and believe in what we’re doing,” she said.
Year-over-year PTTR enjoyed a 42 percent increase from $36,000 in 2004 to $51,000 in 2005. Moore received AHA’s 2003-2004 Outstanding Achievement Award for attaining 119 percent of her fundraising goal and a 39 percent increase for the Arkansas/Oklahoma Field Operations Team.
A Little Rock native, Moore graduated in 1996 with a communications degree from the University of Arkansas.
She raised money for AHA from 2000-2001. She then worked for both the New Century Group and the March of Dimes before returning to the AHA in 2002.
