Legacy National Bank of Springdale received conditional approval from the Comptroller of the Currency on Jan. 26. The proposed bank is now a bank in organization, its president, Don Gibson, said. The conditional approval means Legacy can “do the business of a business, but not the business of banking.”

The group has received two modular facilities, which were being installed at 40th Street and U.S. Highway 412 in Springdale on Jan. 26. They hope to move from their temporary offices in the basement of George’s Inc. during the second week of February.

Danny Dotson, vice president of business development and marketing, said Legacy’s pre-opening exam will be scheduled for sometime in late February.
