Burckart Becomes AHBA President

Bill Burckart, president of Crestmark Homes of Bentonville, was inducted on Jan. 28 as the 2005 president of the Arkansas Home Builders Association at the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association quarterly meeting.
Burckart served as the president of the NWAHBA in the 2000-2001 term and has been an active member of the local chapter for more than 13 years.
“We are at a critical time in our association with high growth and a lot of members needs so it’s going to be a challenge for me,” Burckart said.
Burckart said the state association, with about 2,400 member firms, has grown by more than 400 in the last two years. The national HBA has more than 225,000 member firms.
Lance Johnson, owner of Lance Johnson Building Co., was recently inducted as president of the NWAHBA for the 2004-2005 term.
