The Arkansas Venture Forum will hold workshops in Fayetteville, Jonesboro and Little Rock for companies that hope to present at the 2005 Arkansas Venture Conference.

The conference is set for May 17 and 18 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. About 300 people have attended prior conferences including angel investors and venture capitalists representing more than $500 million in capital.

The Fayetteville workshop will be held on Feb. 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University of Arkansas’ Innovation Center at the Arkansas Research and Technology Park.

The workshops will walk participants through the conference’s executive summary template and presenters will discuss how to prepare for successful applications. Companies with high-growth business models and potential are encouraged to attend.

A selection committee for the AVF will narrow the field of applicants who will be selected to make presentations at the conference.

Companies wishing to present at the conference must submit an executive summary by Feb. 28. Guidelines can be downloaded at www.arkansasventureforum.com.
