Morning News Markets With Cups

The Morning News has provided about 2,000 coffee cups to 15 restaurants in Northwest Arkansas over the past year.

The cups are emblazoned with a Morning News logo (featuring either city scenes or sports scenes) and the name of the restaurant.

Lewis Floyd, circulation manager for the Morning News, said the cups are slightly thicker than most to stand up to restaurant use. The logos have one scene from each of the four largest cities in the area: Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.

Floyd wouldn’t reveal the cost of the cups.

“It’s cheaper to do this than it is to pay for billboards,” he said. “When my competition sits down and drinks coffee from my cups, I call that priceless.”
